This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Nidec Minster Corporation (the “Company“) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User“) of the Nidec Minster’s Fieldhawk IIoT App (the “Application“) and machines monitored by the system (the “Asset”).

Personal Identification Information

Company may collect personal identification information (“PII“) from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users download, install or otherwise use the Application, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources available with the Application. Users may provide and Company may collect, directly or indirectly, names, email addresses, phone numbers, IMEI numbers, MAC IDs, and SIM card numbers. Company will collect PII from Users only if Users download, install or otherwise use the Application. Users can always refuse to supply PII, however doing so, may prevent the Users from utilizing the Application.

How Company Uses Collected User Information

Company collects and utilizes Users’ PII for the following purposes:

  • To personalize User experience, Company may use information in the aggregate to understand how Users, as a group, use the services and resources provided in connection with the Application.
  • To improve the Application, Company may strive to improve the software, including the code, associated with the Application and other offerings based on the information and feedback Company may receive from Users.
  • To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.

How Company Protects User Information

Company adopts data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of User’s personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored in connection with the Application. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our Application. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.

Sharing User Personal Information

Company does not sell, trade, or rent Users’ PII to others.

Asset Data
The purpose of the Application is to display certain information on the Asset status, operating condition, production data, and provide service alerts.  This requires the collection of Asset data by the machine control as well as transmission of Asset data to cloud storage and processing, prior to such data being available to the Application.  Company adopts certain data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of User’s Asset data stored in connection with the Application. However, the transmission of such data is not one hundred percent secure. While Company strives to protect your Asset data, Company does not guarantee the security of your data transmitted in connection with the Application. User hereby acknowledges and agrees that all data transmission is at its own risk. User further acknowledges and agrees that Company is not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures Company provides.

Use of Asset Data
Company will use the Asset data provided from the machine control to provide machine status, operating condition, production data, and service alerts.  Company will also use data from multiple Assets to improve Company’s designs, services offerings, and service alert systems.  User hereby agrees to allow the data from monitored Assets to be used by Company for such purposes.  Company will not sell, trade, or rent User’s Asset data to others.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Company, at its discretion, may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Company encourages Users to frequently check this page for any changes. The User acknowledges and agrees that it is the User’s responsibility to review this Privacy Policy for any modifications.

User Acceptance of These Terms
By using the Application, User signifies acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If User does not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Application. User’s continued use of the Application following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy, will be deemed User’s acceptance of those changes.

Children Under the Age of 18

The Application is not intended for children under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 18 years of age without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 18 years of age, please contact us immediately.
