Ribbon-Cutting Marks Opening of Minster Ningbo

NINGBO, China -- The Minster Machine Company celebrated the opening of its subsidiary in Ningbo, China, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 8, 2010.

With more than 60 guests in attendance, speeches by Steve Gruber, Minster's Director of Services Division, and Don Chi, President of CFG in Ningbo and the Mayor of Zhenhai Industrial Park, highlighted the celebration.

"This facility provides us with a wonderful opportunity to provide rapid and comprehensive service to Minster's expanding customer base in Asia," Gruber said. "The growing Chinese economy has a demand for high tech metal forming products like those offered by The Minster Machine Company."

Gruber explained that the Minster Ningbo operation will initially offer repair parts from an extensive on-site inventory and technical support for Chinese customers. In addition Minster Field Service personnel will be dispatched from Ningbo and Shanghai to maintain and repair Minster machinery throughout China.

"Making sure that customers are well supported locally will build a foundation for Minster Ningbo's next step, which will be assembling high speed presses for the Chinese market," Gruber said.

Minster's markets in China closely parallel its customer base around the world. Many customers use Minster presses for the production of beverage and food cans featuring easy open ends. Other customers use Minster presses for producing rotor and stator laminations used to make a wide variety of electric motors. Automotive parts and construction products are additional widespread applications for Minster machinery.
