Nidec Minster Announces Management Changes

MINSTER, OH U.S.A. -- In keeping step with the recent growth of the Nidec Minster Corporation, company officials have announced several organizational changes aimed at maximizing Nidec Minster’s ability to provide material forming solutions and services to an expanding base of global customers.

Effective June 1, David Winch will be assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. John Winch will be stepping down as CEO and President, but will continue to assist Nidec Minster in a consulting role.

“For nearly 120 years, we have maintained a proud tradition of innovation, quality and commitment to our customers,” said David Winch. “The changes that I am pleased to announce today will help us focus on providing the global products and services our customers need to grow.”

Steve Gruber will assume his new position as President and Chief Operating Officer reporting to David Winch. Gruber will be responsible for Nidec Minster’s activities in the Machinery, Automation, Midwest/Operations and Services Divisions as well as Human Resources. He will focus the team on growth in new and existing markets, as well as new products and continuous operational improvements.

Ron Arling will serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer reporting to David Winch. He will continue overall responsibility for internal company functions focusing on managing the financial wellness, compliance and information technology. In addition, Arling will assume overall responsibility for mergers and acquisitions along with integration of new companies.

Rick Schwartz will become Vice President of the Machinery and Automation Divisions continuing his focus on sales, engineering, marketing, and purchasing for those Divisions. Managing Director Tim Fletcher will assume responsibility for the Services Division.

In April of 2012, Minster was acquired by Nidec Shimpo, a subsidiary of the Nidec Corporation. Aided by the resources of its powerful global partners, Nidec Minster has been updating and stabilizing its operational infrastructure while expanding its product and services offerings around the world.

In the last year Nidec Minster has invested in some technologically-advanced machine tools, product upgrades and a new Customer Service Center in Mexico. A state-of-the-art employee training center is expected to come online later this year that will facilitate skilled trades training for current and future Nidec Minster employees.
